You have attached a SpotyPal to your car keys and you are safe that it will protect them. What happens if you share them with your spouse? Now you can share your SpotyPal device with other users so, everyone who uses them will be safe.

Please try the following: While you are on the page that tells you about the requirements to add a device, open the control center of the phone and toggle Bluetooth off and then back on. After that, click the next button and you should be able to add the device normally.
When you are trying to add a new SpotyPal device in your account, among the others, you have to press the button of the SpotyPal device for three seconds until you hear a beeping sound, and the LED starts flashing.
If this doesn’t happen then try the following:
- remove the battery of the SpotyPal device for a few seconds and put it back again.
- if still nothing happens, repeat the procedure with another battery CR 2032.

False alerts might occur due to temporary obstacles. Within SpotyPal, we have two ways to solve this issue:
Deactivate the Separation alert. Click on the device in the SpotyPal App to enter its page (where you ring the device). On the top of the screen, you will see an icon with the bell. Click on this icon to deactivate the Separation alert. To activate it again, click on the icon one more time. Set the "Separation alert delay time" option in the device settings to avoid false alerts that may occur due to the temporary obstacles. The default value is 30 sec.The warranty period for the SpotyPal device is 1 year from the date of its 1st activation, completed by the first owner of the device.
To find the 1st activation date:
Open the SpotyPal App. Select the device. Tap the three dots icon on the top right corner of the screen to open the Device settings. Scroll down to find the Activation date.Read more here.
You can stop the ringing with the following two ways:
1. Through the SpotyPal App:
If you have pressed the “Call” button:
Open the SpotyPal App. Find and select your device in the list. Tap the "Stop calling" button. 2. Through the SpotyPal device: keep the button of the ringing SpotyPal device pressed for a few seconds.
3. In case of the Separation alert:
Through the mobile: in the Separation alert notification, click on “Stop Calling Mobile”. Through the SpotyPal device: keep the button of the ringing SpotyPal device pressed for a few seconds. Sometimes it might take a couple of minutes to connect to the SpotyPal device.
In case the connection can’t be established, follow the steps below:
If you have SpotyPal on multiple devices you should check if it is not connected to another device. Restart Bluetooth on your phone. Restart the SpotyPal App. Restart your smartphone. Reinstall the SpotyPal App. Contact us through the support form and we will assist you to solve the problem. A device can only have one owner. If it was previously used by another person, this person should first remove the device from its account. Uninstalling the SpotyPal app will not be enough. If the device hasn’t been removed from the previous owner’s account, you will not be able to add it and you will possibly get the message above.
To remove a device from an account:
Open the SpotyPal App. Select the device you wish to remove. Tap the three dots icon on the top right corner to open the Device settings. Press the “Delete device” button in the bottom of the screen. The selected device is now deleted. In that case you should try one of the following:
Check if the Bluetooth and Location services of your phone are turned on and you have an internet connection. Restart Bluetooth on your phone. Turn on and off the Flight mode. Close and re-open the SpotyPal App. Restart your mobile phone. Reinstall the SpotyPal App. Contact us through the support form and we will assist you to solve the problem. Sometimes it might take a couple of minutes to connect to the SpotyPal device.
In case the connection cannot be established, follow the steps below:
If you have SpotyPal on multiple mobile devices, make sure it is not already connected to one of those. Restart Bluetooth on your phone. Restart the SpotyPal App. Restart your smartphone. Reinstall the SpotyPal App. Contact us through the support form and we will assist you to solve the problem. If you have forgotten your password you should:
Open the SpotyPal App. At the Login screen, tap on the "Forgot password" option. Enter your e-mail account to receive a verification code. Check your e-mail account for the verification code that was sent to you. Use the verification code to create a new password. Login with the new password. The SpotyPal button can:

To use the above functionalities, you must first choose the type of button press (Single, Double or Long press) for each one of them. To do that you must:

SpotyPal is rated to be waterproof (IP44). Do not immerse the device in water or it might get irreversibly damaged.
Turn off the Bluetooth on your smartphone to disconnect with the device Keep the button of your device pressed for a few seconds. If you don’t hear a beeping sound and the LED does not start flashing, the battery is dead.The SpotyPal App shows the battery level of your devices.
To see the battery level of your device:
Open the SpotyPal App. Tap on the device you wish to see the battery level from the list. Tap the three dots icon on the top right corner of the screen to see the Device Settings. Scroll down to find the Battery level of the selected device. The battery lasts approximately 1 year (depends on the usage).

To change the battery:
Open the device from the notch on the side with the triangle plastic piece that is included in the package. Replace the old battery with the new one. The battery type is CR2032. After putting the cover back, press the button to connect to your phone again. SpotyPal uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity.

Its range is 70 meters in open, unobstructed space. In crowded areas or in areas with obstacles, the range is less and may vary significantly.

For example, you could also use the Nearby alert while waiting for your luggage at the baggage reclaim area of an airport. If you have the Νearby alert feature activated, SpotyPal will notify you when your suitcase is coming.
NearBy Alert is a feature that will notify you when your smartphone gets close to your SpotyPal device.
You can use it, for example, when you have to wait for your luggage near the belt at the airport. SpotyPal will use the “Nearby alert” feature to notify when your suitcase is coming.
N-t-F stands for Not-to-Forget list.
You can create N-t-F lists with items you don’t want to leave behind and then use SpotyPal to check if you have them with you.

Whenever the connection between the SpotyPal device and the smartphone is lost, the smartphone will let you know that you are getting far from your device. Furthermore, in case you have forgotten your smartphone, SpotyPal will make a sharp beeping sound to notify that your smartphone is left behind.
They are indicators and they change depending on the connection status:
The green line indicates that the device is connected to your mobile. The grey line with a rotating circle indicates that your device is close to you and the mobile tries to connect to it. The orange lines indicate the devices set as Not-to-Forget (N-t-F). Initially these devices are not connected. To force the connection to a N-t-F device, go to the list where your devices are displayed and select the device. After that you can press the "Call" button and the device will start ringing. The grey line indicates that the device is out of range. You will be able to check the exact place and time it was inside range for the last time. The grey line with a sad emoji face indicates that the device is out of range and you have reported it as lost. The grey line with a smile emoji face shows that your lost device has been found by the SpotyPal Community. You can now check your notifications to check the place it was found. If your item is completely lost, report it to the Crowd-finding community. Then if a SpotyPal user passes near your item, you will be immediately notified of its location. The procedure is anonymous and respects the users’ privacy.
Also, you can post a message on one of your Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and invite your friends to download the app and help you find your lost item.
When your SpotyPal device and your smartphone are connected, you can ring your phone from the device, even if your phone is set to silent mode.
Before that you should choose the type of button press (single, double or long press) for this functionality:

The device will start ringing.If your device is connected to your smartphone that means that it is close to you.

In this case, you can see on the Map the exact place where the connection was lost. This will be the best place for you to start looking for your missing item.
If your item is completely lost, report it to the Crowd-Finding community. Then if a SpotyPal user passes near your item, you will be immediately notified of its location. The procedure is anonymous and respects the users’ privacy.
You can also invite your friends using your Social Media Accounts to download the app and help you find your lost item.
Download the SpotyPal App from the App Store or Google Play. Open the SpotyPal app. At the Login Screen, tap on the "Don’t have an account? Sign Up" icon. Enter your email address and password or Sign Up using your Facebook or Google+ Account. Read the Privacy Policy and accept the terms and conditions. Tap on the "Sign Up" icon to complete the registration. Open the SpotyPal app. Tap on the "+" button. Press the button located on the device while you hold the device close to your phone. You will hear a beeping sound and the LED will start flashing. Go to the App and click on "OK! I DID IT" button to connect. Once the connection is established, enter a device name and choose the category that suits your needs. The device will appear in the list of devices with the name you have selected.A device can have only one owner. If it was previously used by another person, this person should first remove this device from his or her account.
If the device hasn’t been removed from the previous owner’s account, you will not be able to add it and will possibly get the following message “The device is already assigned to another account”.

Enable the Bluetooth to keep the connection between the SpotyPal device and your phone. Turn on the Location service to have the most up-to-date information about the location of your device. Leave SpotyPal running in the background.The App communicates with the SpotyPal device via Bluetooth.
If your smartphone is within a Bluetooth range from the device, SpotyPal can find it, establish a connection, keep the location information and alert the device. If your SpotyPal device is out of range, the App will display the place where the connection was lost. This is the best place for you to start looking for your missing item. Once the connection is re-established, you can see how strong the signal is and alert your item. If your item is completely lost, report it to the Crowd-fιnding community. Then if a SpotyPal user passes near your item, you will be immediately notified of its location. The procedure is anonymous and respects the users' privacy. In the App, the device will be marked with a green line in the list of devices and the word “Connected” will appear under its name.
Yes you can. Press the button of the device continuously for 3 seconds. If you hear the beeping sound and the LED starts flashing that means that your device is not connected to your smartphone.
